Fue a principios de los noventa cuando empezaron a ser valorados no solo
por sus diseños singulares sino también por su escasez. Hoy en día son
objeto de venta regular en casas de subasta como Sotheby's y Christie's.
In the beginning, posters were created to publicize films produced by the various movie studios. When the film had finished their run in the theatres, the posters were often returned and then destroyed. Today, due to their rarity and nostolgic appeal, posters have become a collector's item only to be found in galleries and auction companies such as Christie's and Sotheby's.
